The Bi History Archive Collection

The Mel Reeve Collection is held at the Bishopsgate Institute and is a vibrant archive of bisexual+, pansexual, and queer history in the UK. Created by archivist and writer Mel Reeve, the collection grew out of the Bi History Project – a response to the lack of bisexual+ representation in traditional archives. It includes flyers, zines, journals, badges, t-shirts, and other materials celebrating bisexual+ identities and activism.

Mel used the collection to run workshops that empowered individuals to see the value in their own histories. By donating the archive to Bishopsgate Institute, she has ensured broader access and encouraged others to document and share their stories.
